Hackers on Glaze 9

On Glaze 9, which is in galaxy Chrakvx, humans are welcome. Since humans haven't yet mastered the science of space travel completely, the only ones beyond the Milky Way are ones that have been abducted. 

No one knows how they were retrieved from Earth, since there is a magical barrier existing these past 2,000+ years that has prevented outside forces from entering the atmosphere. Many of the humans could be descendants of those taken before the barrier was erected, nevertheless they are spread thin throughout the galaxy.

Many refugees end up on Glaze 9, protected by a Galactic Council that seeks to preserve as many sentient species as possible for the strength of the universe. 

Glaze 9's forces are top notch, with protections that are nearly impenetrable. That is not only because of their might and technology, but also because of the Hacker force division of the military. 

Hackers are beings identified at birth as having a temperament and biological compatibility with the defense systems. They attend training beginning at age two rotations and receive their first biotech implant at age four rotations.

They are taught many things, among them: strategy, technical prowess, integration, subversion, offensive data manipulation, how to read biological people through smell, sounds, and body language. They are also schooled in control, centering oneself, and a respect for peace and individuality within a collective whole. Really, there are more things than that, but you get the idea.

Their prime directive is to protect the refugees and residents of Glaze 9, the galaxy’s most accessible and protected sanctuary.

They are well-respected heroes on Glaze 9, but surprisingly humble and hardworking. In any given day, a Hacker will work a long shift (equivalent to about twenty Earth hours – the Glaze 9 day being approximately 32 Earth hours long). They scan the galaxy for threats to the peace of the people and take action to inform or defend where necessary.

No one has ever hacked Glaze 9, because the best hackers in the universe keep watch and know how to act.
